GoLocal Films was developed to produce documentaries airing exclusively on GoLocal that uniquely explore Rhode Island's most interesting people, places, and exploits.

The documentary series is titled, “The King of Rhode Island - Nick Mattiello in Lockdown.”
In Rhode Island, Speakers of the House are all-powerful.

In 2014, the late political scientist Jay Goodman told Politifact that the Speaker of the House in Rhode Island is more powerful than the sitting Governor, but now due to global pandemic, a pending trial of one of Mattiello’s former political consultants, and a pending grand jury — Mattiello is in political “lockdown.”
