About Incidents

At approximately 8:30 PM, Brown University police contacted Providence Police, saying a female victim had been shot with a pellet gun.

The victim told police she was walking with friends on Angell Street by Brook Street, when she felt something hit her in the head, and found a small round object in her hair.

According to the victim, a dark hatchback sedan sped away from the scene.

Then, shortly after 9 PM, police responded to a report of an assault at the corner of Thayer Street and Chesterfield Street.

The victim — a male Brown University student — said he was walking in the area when he was struck several times in the chest with pellets.

According to police, the victim said shots were fired from a grey Audi SUV, which then took off.

Third Report

Just after 10 PM, police responded to George M Cohan Boulevard for a report of an assault with an air rifle.

The victim — a woman in her 20s — said she was walking just off Wickenden Street when she heard popping noises and felt something hit her body.

She said she thought it was a shooting so she dropped to the ground.

The victim told police a grey SUV sped off following the incident.
