Man Hospitalized Following Daytime Shooting in Providence

A man was shot in Providence — as he was reportedly going to get food.
According to police, officers responded to Rhode Island Hospital shortly before 4 PM on Monday for a report of a shooting victim.
Police said the victim — a male in his 30s — told them that he had been walking on Broad Street to go to Me Sueno to get food.

He was reportedly driven to the hospital where he was dropped off.
Detectives are currently investigating.
