See man's best friend run, jump, and twirl with the best of 'em at the Providence County Kennel Club Dog Show this weekend.

From boxing to musicals, this weekend is jam packed with events. Not to mention that Rhode Island will be filled with music this weekend at the Newport Folk Festival. Read on to check out what’s going on near you!

Providence County Kennel Club Dog Show, Kingston

Saturday-Sunday  If you are a dog lover, then you will not want to miss out on the Providence County Kennel Club Dog Show. Come judge for yourself as the best dogs in Providence County strut their stuff and hope to win best in show. Saturday is the Best Puppy in Show Competition and Sunday will be Best in Show. 7 am-6 pm. 1 Lincoln Almond Plaza. Adults: $8, children: $4. For more information click here.

Boxing at Twin River, Lincoln

Saturday  Put on your best outfit and head down to Twin River Casino for some quality boxing. New England Super Middleweight Champion Vladine “Mr. Providence” Biosse will be putting his belt up against Rich Gingras in an 8-round main event fight. Thomas Falowo, Kevin Cobbs, Josh Harris are also scheduled to fight. Afterwards you can try your luck at the Casino’s new table games! 6 pm. 100 Twin River Road. Admission: $41, $76, $126. Legally Blonde the Musical, Warwick

Friday-Sunday  Don’t forget to check out Legally Blonde the Musical at the Ocean State Theatre Company this weekend! The musical has done well this month and its final show will be this Sunday at 2 pm. This all-singing, all-dancing, feel-good musical comedy is not something you will want to miss! 2 pm, 7:30pm. 1245 Jefferson Boulevard. Vintage Baseball, Pawtucket

Sunday  This Sunday the Providence Grays are hosting the New Hampshire Granite at McCoy Stadium. This old school style of play is a one of a kind experience and is perfect for baseball lovers. Cultural Survival, Tiverton

Saturday-Sunday  Make sure you check out the Cultural Survival in Tiverton this weekend. There will be arts and cultures from all over the world, including guest artisans, jewelry, clothing, crafts and much more. This all day event is a unique experience and admission is free! 10am-5pm.
