The URI Rams are back at Meade Stadium to host Merrimack on Saturday afternoon.

Rhode Island enters the game with an overall record of 1-7, while Merrimack comes in with a record of 4-4.

Game time is set for 1 p.m.

URI vs Merrimack

Saturday’s game is just the second game between the two teams, and the first since 2006.

The Rams won the only other meeting in the series 42-7 on September 6, 2006.

URI Offense

Entering Saturday’s game against Merrimack, the Rams offense is averaging 24 points and 397 total yards per game.

Led by quarterback Vito Priore, URI averages 316 yards through the air, but just 81 yards per game on the ground.

On the season, Priore has completed 212 of 346 passes for 2,534 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Senior wide receiver Aaron Parker is second in school history with 3,126 career receiving yards. He needs 818 yards over the final four games to become the all-time leader.

Parker is also second nationally in receiving yards with 890.

Isaiah Coulter follows up Parker with 48 catches for 740 yards and four touchdowns.

URI Defense

Through seven games this season, the URI defense is allowing 34 points and 443 total yards per game.

The Rams defense is led by Brandon Javier-Castillo, who has 79 total tackles and two sacks on the season.

He averages 9.9 tackles per game.

Jim Philistin also has two sacks on the year.

As a team, the Rams have nine sacks on the season.
