Patriots Acquire Center Russell Bodine in First Trade With Buffalo Since 2001

The New England Patriots traded a sixth-round pick to the Buffalo Bills for center Russell Bodine, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
It is the first time the Patriots have traded with Buffalo since sending Drew Bledsoe there in 2001.
Bodine marks third offensive lineman the Patriots have traded for this week after starting center David Andrews was hospitalized with blood clots in his lungs.

About Bodine
Bodine was selected in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft out of North Carolina by the Cincinnati Bengals.
In four seasons with the Bengals, Bodine started even game.
Last season, Bodine started ten games for Buffalo.
Patriots Make Early Cuts
With roster cutdowns looming, the Patriots have already made several roster moves.
The team has cut Tyree St. Louis, Cedrick Lang, David Parry, Ryan Davis, A.J. Howard and Andrew Beck.
New England must be down to 53 players by 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 31.
