Rhode Island Secretary of State Nellie Gorbea joined GoLocalProv News Editor Kate Nagle at the Rhode Island State House on LIVE, where she spoke to the updates on the 17 recommendations made by the Department's Elections Task Force in April 2017.
Gorbea also spoke to the latest cybersecurity update from the office, ahead of the 2018 election -- which highlights the work being done to mitigate risks and includes partnerships and collaborations with the Department of Homeland Security, the Multi-State Information Sharing & Analysis Center, and the Rhode Island National Guard.
Gorbea also spoke to how the office is scheduled to unveiled a revamped voter information website in May.
