About Race

Now former Rhode Island State Senator Gayle Goldin had announced her resignation in early August to join President Joe Biden’s administration in the Department of Labor Women’s Bureau.

The highly competitive race turned negative over the final days before the primary — one group who was a big supporter of Levey Friedman sent out a mailer criticizing Pham.

Friedman had been the fundraising front-runner, raising more than $70,000 -- with much of it from out-of-state.
