Shots Fired Into Providence House — Resident Says Baby Nearly Hit

Providence Police responded to a report of shots fired into a house in Providence early Sunday morning.

Police responded at approximately 2:30 a.m. to Berkshire Street, off of Douglas Avenue, for a report of shots fired into a house.
Upon arrival, the man who made the report told police that someone shot into his residence. According to police, there was damage to interior walls.
Police noted that that man said there was a six-month-old baby in the home at the time of the incident was near the path of the bullet.
Outside, police found several shell casings on the front lawn.
Residents in a neighboring house told police they heard loud arguing outside and shots fired, but did not see anything.
Police are currently investigating.

The shooting comes after reports of one house being hit in the city multiple times over two separate days.
Also on Sunday morning, a man was shot leaving a bar in Providence.
