Providence Water Suspends Water Service Shutoffs During Coronavirus Emergency

Providence Water is suspending water service shutoffs.
Providence Water has temporarily suspended all water service shutoffs due to non-payment in light of the possible financial challenges residents face due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Providence Water notes that regular billing will continue for all customers.

“Providence Water understands that our customers may experience financial challenges related to the coronavirus outbreak. To lessen any financial hardship the COVID-19 pandemic may have on our customers, Providence Water has temporarily suspended all water service shutoffs due to non-payment. Please note that regular billing will continue for all customers and that we are working with our regulator on a process to ensure there will be no penalties for late payments during the coronavirus emergency period,” said Providence Water in a statement.
