NEW: RIPTA Bus Driver Assailant Surrenders to Providence Police

The suspect caught on camera punching a RIPTA bus driver has turned himself in -- after the Providence Police made a public appeal to find him.
On Wednesday May 13, Providence Police had released photos of the attacker, who had punched a driver at Broad and Ontario Streets in Providence Streets on May 6.
"After striking the driver in the face he fled the scene in an unknown direction," said the Police in a statement.

"The subject did turn himself in," said Lindsay Lague, Public Information Officer in the Office of the Public Safety Comissioner.
