Homicide Victim Discovered Off I-295, Police Seek Information

Providence Police and Rhode Island State Police are seeking information related to a homicide victim discovered off I-295.
Providence Police were contacted on November 30 by Rhode Island State Police regarding information into a pending missing persons case of a deceased male who was located in a wooded area off I-295.
The deceased male subject was identified as Jose Segura, age 50 of Providence.

The body was turned over to the Rhode Island State Medical Examiner's Office and the cause of death was determined to be a homicide.
Investigation Ongoing
Providence and Rhode Island State Police are conducting a joint investigation into this incident and interviews have been conducted by police with family and known associates of the victim.
The victim is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’6” and 190-200 pounds
