A man was shot in Providence on Thursday afternoon.

According to police, a male in his 20s was shot in the head on Atwood Street in Olneyville.

The incident occurred around 4:30 PM

Police said the victim was conscious when rescue transported him to the hospital.

Detectives are currently investigating.
