Panhandling continues to be an issue in Providence, after Mayor Jorge Elorza announced in February the city would stop enforcing the anti-panhandling ordinance on the books.
It is unclear if there will be any further efforts to address the issue but until then, panhandling is a way of life for many in Providence.
