Providence Police Apprehend Murder Suspect Who Was Considered “Armed and Dangerous”

Providence police have apprehended the prime suspect in the latest murder in the city.
On Monday, Providence Police announced they had obtained an arrest warrant for Kevin Giron related to the homicide that occurred over the weekend.
Police had said he should be considered armed and dangerous.

About Homicide
Police had responded to Donigan Park on Valley Street in Olneyville for a report of a shooting shortly before 9 PM Saturday night.
The victim — a 19-year-old male — was assessed by rescue at the scene where he was pronounced deceased.
It was the city's sixth homicide of the year.
