Brown Alpert Medical School urology expert Dr. Simone Thavaseelan will appear on "Smart Health" GoLocal LIVE on Wednesday at 4 P.M., where she will talk in particular to the latest advancements in the treatment of kidney stones.

Thavaseelan is an associate professor of surgery in urology and at the Brown Warren Alpert Medical School, as well as the section chief of urology at the Providence VA Medical Center and the residency program director at Rhode Island Hospital.

On "Smart Health" on GoLocal LIVE, Thavaseelan will talk about the latest in the treatment of kidney stones, including how to treat them by size and which ones require surgery -- and why higher temperatures could play a direct role in an increase of the medical condition.
