SNL: We’re Treating Iran Like a Breathalyzer in My Car & Blowing It the Hell Up
Saturday Night Live was new this week - and as usual, took aim at the week’s biggest events.
The “cold open” featured Colin Jost as Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, who did a “keg stand” before taking the stage.
“Relax, it’s Sprite,” said “Hegseth” in the skit.
The real Hegseth had pledged to quit drinking if confirmed to the position in 2024; in 2025, a Congressman said it’s “fair to wonder” if Hegseth had been drinking alcohol again “given his ‘reckless’ use of Signal, a third-party messaging app, to share highly sensitive military plans with national security officials and separately with members of his family, reported HuffPost.
“We’re treating Iran like a breathalyzer in my car and blowing it the hell up,” said Jost-as-Hegseth on Saturday.
