Dubbed “America’s Most Exciting Punk Rock Band” by Rolling Stone magazine in December, Providence’s Downtown Boys scored a #14 appearance on Pitchfork’s Best Music Videos of 2015 for “Wave of History" - and the self-described “Bi bilingual political dance sax punk party from Providence” keeps close it its roots, as written up in Rolling Stone:

"The band walks a few quick blocks to New Urban Arts, a community arts studio for high-school students. Various community members offer up their skills and abilities as mentors; the students decide how mentors can help their art. If you want to know why Downtown Boys sound so angry on their debut album Full Communism, watch the music video for "Wave of History". In the clip, the Providence-based band outlines the realities of prison overcrowding, the racial divide in U.S. arrest rates, and the number of people killed by police—very real problems that, for many, are remarkably easy to ignore.
