While the Republican party was the “almost party” in 2010 - with John Robitaille almost winning the Governor’s office, Catherine Taylor almost winning the Secretary of State’s Office, and John Loughlin almost winning the 1st Congressional seat - Allan Fung continued his mesmerizing success.
Fung, an Asian-American, won re-election with 76% of the vote in a city that has been dominated by Italian –American mayors for decades. But Fung is much more than an anomaly – he has proven to be a highly competent mayor and a new voice for the GOP.
His bio shows his private sector experience at METLife, his legal experience at the Attorney General’s Office and his community leadership in a sweeping range of roles.
