RI Airport Corporation Police Department Opens Recruit Selection Process

The Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC) Police Department has opened up their recruit selection process for anyone interested in becoming a police officer wiih the RI Airport Police Department.
"We are seeking highly motivated, intelligent, and dedicated men and women to apply,” said RI Airport Corporation Police Chief Leo Messier.
The recruitment application period will end at midnight on Sunday, July 10 2016.

APPLICATION QUALIFICATIONS:
- U.S. Citizen
- 18 years of age at the time of application
- Valid motor vehicle operator’s license
- High school Diploma or GED
- Minimum 60 college credits as of July 10, 2016 from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education OR
- 3 years full-time police, law enforcement, or corrections experience by July 10, 2016 OR
- 3 years active military duty as of July 10, 2016 OR
- 3 years military reserve service as of July 10, 2016
- Good moral character

1. Preliminary Application submission (Wednesday, May 18, to Sunday, July 10, 2016) October 19th)
2. Physical Fitness Test (Saturday, July 23, 2016)
3. Written Test
4. Supplemental Employment Application
5. Oral interview(s)
6. Eligibility list established
7. Background investigation
8. Medical examination
9. Psychological examination
10. RI Municipal Police Academy
11. One year probation period including FTO program
12. Permanent appointment as a police officer
