OceanPoint Financial Partners, Mutual Holding Company of BankNewport, Elects New Trustees and Corporators at Annual Meeting

OceanPoint Financial Partners, MHC, the mutual holding company of BankNewport, announced the election of two new members to its board of trustees and four new corporators for the organization at the annual meeting held on Monday, April 22, 2024.

"We are happy to welcome our new trustees and corporators, who will play an essential role in promoting our mission and vision," said Jack Murphy, President, and CEO, OceanPoint Financial Partners, MHC and BankNewport. "Each offers a unique perspective on the communities we serve, and we look forward to their impact as ambassadors of the organization.”

 

NEW TRUSTEES:
Alan A. Brown, currently serving as chairman and an independent director for Janus Henderson Funds, brings over three decades of experience in strategic planning, asset management, and financial oversight to the Board. His leadership roles across various financial institutions, including Black Creek Group and Nuveen Investments, have equipped him with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the financial sector. He resides in Scituate, Massachusetts.

Thomas J. Iannotti, chairman of the Board of Directors of Applied Materials, Inc. and Rigetti Computing Inc., brings an extensive background in technology and services. His previous roles as senior vice president and general manager at Hewlett-Packard Company and various executive positions within the technology sector provide him with a unique perspective on innovation, operational excellence, and corporate governance. He resides in Boston, Massachusetts.

 

 

NEW CORPORATORS:

Kelli J. Armstrong, Ph.D., president of Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island, is known for her dynamic leadership and dedication to enhancing educational opportunities for all students, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. She resides in Newport, Rhode Island.

 

Abby Benson serves as the vice president of administration and finance at the University of Rhode Island, where her broad experience in university administration and policy strategy strengthens the corporators' collective expertise in governance and community engagement. She resides in Middletown, Rhode Island.

 

Aïda Neary plays a crucial role at Salve Regina University as the director of community educational partnerships. Her background in international relations and local advocacy underscores her commitment to educational and community development. She resides in Newport, Rhode Island.

 

Keith Roberts, COO and CTO of SquadLocker Inc. in Warwick, Rhode Island, brings over 25 years of experience in product development, software engineering, and team leadership. His involvement in local education and technology sectors enhances the board's insight into innovative practices and community relations. He resides in Jamestown, Rhode Island.
