People on the Move: Bristol County Savings Bank Names Martin VP/Senior Commercial Loan Officer

Bristol County Savings Bank (BCSB), headquartered in Taunton, Massachusetts, announces the appointment of William (Wil) J. Martin IV to the position of Vice President/Senior Commercial Loan Officer.  

 

Based in the Bank’s downtown Providence loan office, located at 5 Exchange Street, Wil is responsible for growing the commercial loan portfolio in the Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts markets with a primary focus on providing lending and treasury management services to operating companies in the lower middle and middle markets.

A seasoned commercial banking professional with over 20 years of experience, Wil most recently held the position of Vice President-Commercial Banking Relationship Manager at First Citizens Bank (formerly Boston Private Bank and Trust) in Boston, Massachusetts.  Previously, he served as Vice President-Business Banking Relationship Manager at Santander Bank in the Greater Boston, Massachusetts market.

 

“Wil has served the business banking and middle market segment for more than two decades, working with businesses across a wide spectrum of industries and their entire life cycle  from start-up to growth to ownership transition,” said John Silva, President and CEO, Bristol County Savings Bank.  “This experience has afforded Wil the ability to provide valuable insight into how business owners can navigate the unique challenges they face, and act as an effective advocate for them in accessing capital and banking services that can help them succeed.”

Martin earned his bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Rhode Island and resides in Canton, Massachusetts.
