Tiverton Land Trust Names Program Manager

The Tiverton Land Trust announces the hiring of Tim Piacentini as its first full-time Program Manager. He joined TLT in the fall of 2022.

In his Program Manager role, He is engaged in numerous initiatives, including building the membership/development program, engaging the community in TLT-sponsored events like Harvest Market at Pardon Gray and the Winter Solstice, and expanding the Trust’s property maintenance program.

“We are incredibly pleased to have Tim join TLT as our first full-time employee. He is central in our work to conserve key parcels of land across Tiverton and maintain our existing properties. Behind the scenes, Tim is building out the infrastructure of the Land Trust so we can continue to expand our mission,“ said Chair David Elliott of the TLT Board.

Piacentini has a Masters of Environmental Science and Management from the University of Rhode Island and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Wood Pawcatuck Watershed Association.

 

Rhode Island Free Clinic Announces New Officers and Welcomes New Board Members for 2023

Rhode Island Free Clinic, the Ocean State’s oldest and largest volunteer medical corp health care organization announced the following changes to its Board of Directors:

Combined for over four decades of extraordinary leadership and commitment to the Clinic and its medically uninsured Rhode Island adults, Andrew W. Davis, Esq., Mark K. W. Gim, and Whitney Clarke are stepping down from the Board of Directors of Rhode Island Free Clinic, effective December 31, 2022. Andrew prepared and filed the original documents with the State of Rhode Island to create Rhode Island Free Clinic and has served on the Board in various capacities since the Clinic’s inception in 1998. He will remain on the Board of the newly formed Hindle Building Condominium Association, where the Clinic resides. “The Clinic is indebted to Andrew for his decades of voluntary service and leadership,” says incoming Board President, Carrie Bridges-Feliz.  For nearly 15 years, Mark K. W. Gim, honorably served on the Board, having joined in 2008. Mark served on all committees and was appointed to two (2) terms as Board President. “In all of my experiences working with Mark, his commitment to the Clinic’s mission and investment of time to assure our success was second to none” says outgoing Board President, William Fitzgerald. Whitney Clarke joined the Board in 2016, and most recently actively served on the CEO Search Committee. “We thank Whitney, Mark and Andrew for prioritizing the Clinic’s mission over the many years. Their contributions will be missed!” noted Clinic CEO, Dr. Forrest Daniels.

Joining the Board of Directors are business and community leaders/volunteers, Samuel Bradner and Patrick Martin. Sam is a managing partner at with Peregrine Group LLC and Peregrine Real Estate Advisory LLC. Headquartered in Rumford, Rhode Island, with offices also located in Newport, Rhode Island and Boston, Massachusetts. Patrick, a Certified Public Accountant, is Partner, Director Nonprofit Services Group, with KLR.

New Board Officers are: Carrie Bridges-Feliz, President; Michele Lederberg, Esq; Vice President; Patrick Martin, CPA, Treasurer; Jeffrey Chase-Lubitz, Secretary; and William Fitzgerald, President Emeritus.
