In her role, Stepanian is tasked with providing administrative support to RIHA’s President/CEO Dale J. “Cindy has excelled in her new role thus far and has proven herself to be a fantastic contributor for our team and for our members,” said Dale J. Venturini, President/CEO, RIHA. “She has been integral to the execution of our mission and has provided valuable support both internally and externally.”
Prior to joining RIHA, Stepanian worked in group sales, retail sales, and as a media specialist for Conway Tours in Cumberland; in customer service at CVS Pharmacy in Pascoag; and most recently in the operations department for National DCP in Bellingham, Massachusetts.
She is a graduate of Woonsocket High School and has earned a National Academy Foundation Certificate in Travel and Tourism from the Woonsocket Area Career & Technical Center. Outside of work, Stepanian has volunteered her time as the co-chair of the Parent Advisory Council; as chair of the WHS Music Department Golf Tournament Fundraiser; as secretary of National DCP’s Safety Committee; in a variety of roles for Alternatives Unlimited/Open Sky, the Blackstone Valley Prevention Coalition, and with a number of other community agencies.
Two Join Compass
Two of Rhode Island’s top real estate agents have moved to Compass, the brokerage announced this month.
Luxury agent Kira Greene is co-founder of the Greene Sweeney team at Residential Properties, which was named the No. 1 small team in Rhode Island by sales volume in 2021, according to RealTrends. That year, the team sold just under 30 $1 million-plus homes. Agent Kevin Fox, also of Residential Properties, was the third highest producer in Providence and the No. 7 agent in the state by sales volume in 2021, according to RealTrends.
RPL’s Barrington Office Welcomes Sales Associate Kathleen Flaherty
Residential Properties Ltd. announced that Sales Associate Kathleen Flaherty has joined the roster of top real estate professionals at our Barrington office. Kathleen grew up in Millis, Massachusetts, earned her B.S. in management from Johnson & Wales University and worked in the public school system for 15 years. Kathleen began working part-time in real estate while working as a math interventionist, but when she and her family moved from Millis to Barrington in 2017, she became a full-time Realtor®. Now Kathleen begins her next exciting chapter as an agent with Residential Properties.
The East Coast Rhody
Kathleen is passionate about living on the East Coast. Growing up in New England, she spent summers on Hog Island, where her great grandparents began vacationing over 100 years ago, and where today her family owns more than a dozen properties. She also expresses her love of New England through her Instagram profile “The East Coast Rhody,” highlighting local businesses, hidden gems, and fun events. “’Love where you live!’ is my blog’s motto, which embodies my feelings about both home and our wonderful community,” Flaherty said. “My family and I have always considered the East Bay our home because of our ties and time spent during the summers here. In 2018, we chose to live in Barrington because we have many relatives and friends in town. It has been a wonderful place to raise our four children.”
Finding a perfect mix of collaboration and professionalism was important to Kathleen. When considering which agency to join, RPL quickly impressed her as having the sort of positive culture and support to supercharge this next phase of her career. “I decided to join Residential Properties for many reasons,” Flaherty noted. “I certainly knew how happy my friends who work for Residential have been – and they were right! Since joining, I've never felt so supported. It’s not only a beautiful feeling of camaraderie, but also a strong network of cutting-edge technology and insightful market knowledge. For any help I need, someone is there.”
Clients come first
Kathleen has established an important presence throughout her community. When not strategizing on behalf of her clients, she devotes her energies to several interests and causes. “I am a huge fan of the Zac Brown Band and host an annual fundraising event at Fenway Park benefiting Zac’s camp, ‘Camp Southern Ground,’ as well as ‘Hop On A Cure’ for ALS awareness,” Flaherty added. “I also authored the children's book “An Octopus Named Mom,” the proceeds from which go to Ovations for the Cure in memory of my mother, whom I lost 20 years ago to ovarian cancer.” Family time adds another rich layer to her life. She has been with her husband since they first started dating in 1986; attending high school proms together and eventually marrying in 1995. Together, they’ve raised two boys and two girls and created a loving, tight-knit family.
Electrified by this exciting new phase in her journey as an agent, Kathleen looks forward to working with her new RPL colleagues and connecting clients with their dream homes. “My clients are my number one priority,” Flaherty said. “I pride myself on delivering service above and beyond, with integrity, strong interpersonal skills, high technological exposure, social media, and other platforms."
