URI Slips to #18 in Country in Latest National Poll

Jeff Dowtin
The University of Rhode Island men’s basketball team slipped two spots to #18 in the latest AP Poll released on Monday, after being ranked as high as 16th last week.

The drop follows URI’s 77-74 loss on the road to St. Bonaventure last Friday, which snapped their 16-game winning streak.

It also marked their first loss in the A-10 since February 15, 2017, when they lost to Fordham.
