Taking a Look at the Patriots Top Receivers

Saturday, January 17, 2015

With the AFC Championship Game between the Indianapolis Colts and the New England Patriots  coming up on Sunday night at Gillette Stadium, GoLocal and FindTheBest take a look at the top receivers for the New England Patriots.

As the chart above shows, Rob Gronkowksi has led the Patriots with 12 touchdowns  and 1,124 receiving yards. Gronkowski was recently named the 2014 NFL Comeback Player of the Year  as voted on by the Pro Football Writers Association. Gronkowski has been tremendous for the Patriots this season and the biggest thing is that he has been able to stay healthy.

Julian Edelman has had another great season for the Patriots with 972 receiving yards and 92 receptions. If it wasn't for the game he missed late in the season with a concussion, he more then likely would have reached the 100 catch and 1,000 yards receiving yards. As we learned and watched in the Baltimore game, he can throw the ball as well.

One player not featured on the chart above is Danny Amendola who was quiet all season but in the Divisional round had five receptions and two huge touchdown catches. Amendola only had one touchdown catch the entire regular season.

The Patriots and Colts kick off the AFC Championship game at 6:40 p.m. on Sunday.
