NEW: PC Great Ernie DiGregorio Working on a Movie Screenplay

Providence College men’s basketball great Ernie DiGregorio is turning his life into a movie. 

In 2023, GoLocal first reported that DiGregorio had penned a memoir, “Star With a Broken Heart,”  which explores the relationship between him, Marvin Barnes, and their legendary Providence College coach, Dave Gavitt. 

Now, DiGregorio is eying the “big screen.”


According to social media posts by DiGregorio, he is working with screenwriter Peter Conti on a movie screenplay based on his book.
