Moses Brown Outlasts Barrington, Wins Rain-Soaked Girls’ Lax Title

Moses Brown captured the Division I girls’ lacrosse championship Sunday afternoon at Rhode Island College with a 14-10 victory over Barrington High School.
The Quakers (17-1) outlasted Barrington High School (16-3) in a rain-soaked affair.
Hannah Langmuir scored 5 goals for Moses Brown. Meghan Buonanno scored 3 goals, and Audrey Falk and Hannah Saris each had two.

Kelly Dolan led Barrington with 5 goals. Mary Kate Coogan had 3 for the Eagles.
Moses Brown goaltender Jamie Marshall won the game’s Most Outstanding Player award, stopping 15 shots and coming up with clutch saves down the stretch for the Quakers.
"My team really backed me up. We played great defense," she said. "I think once we get on a roll, we keep going, and we're tough to beat. I think we really brought the heart today. This is the hardest I think we've ever played as a team together. We came together at the best time. We're just so excited."
“I’m really happy for everyone, especially our three captains,” said head coach Jeanne Carhart. "They've worked so hard for 4 years...they've really been a core of our team and our growth. I don't even know how to describe it right now. It's probably going to take some time to sink in."
Moses Brown last won the title in 2008.
