GoLocal’s Cordischi Adds Brown Football Role to Reporting Duties

GoLocalProv Sports Editor Scott Cordischi has recently been named the Director of Football Operations for Brown University.

Scott Cordischi, GoLocal Sports Editor and Contributor, as well as the voice of Brown Football for more than 16 years, has been named the Director of Football Operations at Brown in an announcement made by Bears’ head football coach Phil Estes.

Cordischi is a founding editor of GoLocalProv, covering the area’s college and professional sports teams. He has no plans to slow down in this capacity, and will continue to break major stories for GoLocal, bringing the best in local and regional sports coverage to its users. 

In his new role with the Brown Bears, Cordischi will handle the coordination of team travel, serve as the team’s video coordinator and assist in all football administration tasks, including social media. He will continue as radio play-by-play announcer for Brown football and men’s basketball on WSKO-AM 790.

In the past, Cordischi has hosted a sports talk show on Providence’s WSKO 790 called The Score. He currently hosts two shows for WEEI, the GoLocal Sports Show on Saturday morning with fellow GoLocal Sports Editor John Rooke, and a segment dedicated solely to golf, another of his true passions.

Familiar face in the Brown community

Cordischi has served as the master of ceremonies at many of the Athletic Department’s banquets and dinners and providing voiceovers for various video projects.

A graduate of Syracuse University in 1989 with a degree in broadcasting, Cordischi resides in Rumford, RI with his wife, Karen, and their two children, Jack and Ellie.
