You’re a Patriots fan and, by extension, you dislike Peyton and Eli Manning. How couldn’t you? After all, Eli and the Giants beat your team not once, but twice in the Super Bowl while better brother Peyton has been Tom Brady and the Patriots biggest rival both in Indianapolis and now in Denver for the past dozen years.

Think what you want about the brothers Manning, Pats fans, but give the devils their due. The “football on your phone” rap video they did for the NFL Sunday Ticket on Direct TV is nothing short of hilarious! Don’t believe me? Check it out for yourself below:

Funny stuff!

-In a related note, former Patriots WR Wes Welker and Manning are among 4 Denver Broncos scheduled to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated this week and Welker had some pretty interesting stuff to say about former coach Bill Belichick. SI’s Chris Ballard intimates that Welker left the Patriots for more than just financial reasons. Ballard writes of Welker that Belichick, “got on him in a way he never had before, admonishing him in front of the team.” That’s not all. Welker said, “it was kind of hard – one of those deals where you have to endure him, put up with him…..But he does it to everybody, it’s the way he is.” Welker also said that while the Broncos place no restrictions on him when it comes to what he can and cannot say to the media, that he still catches himself worrying about Belichick’s rules. “When I’m answering questions from the Denver media, I’m not worried about what the Broncos’ people are thinking,” he said. “I’m worried about what Belichick will think. Isn’t that crazy?” In case you’re wondering, Bill Belichick’s Patriots host Wes Welker’s Broncos on NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” November 24th.

-And while you’re circling dates on your calendar sports fans, January 26th is when KG, Paul Pierce and the Brooklyn Nets will make their first regular season visit to the TD Garden for what is sure to be a raucous ovation. Brooklyn does play in Boston during the preseason on October 23rd. Doc Rivers returns to Boston on December 11th as the new head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers and will likely receive a similar ovation.

-For the life of me, I can’t understand why the Major League Baseball Players Association would want to defend PED users like Alex Rodriguez. Wouldn’t it be smarter to advocate for those members of your union who are clean and doing things the right way and for the many pro ballplayers in the minors who have possibly been deprived of a chance to play in the Big Leagues because of such steroid users? Just asking.

-This trip to Italy should be quite beneficial to the URI men’s basketball team. The Rams add many new faces into the mix this year in the way of freshmen and transfers which is why this experience should prove to be very beneficial. And it’s not just playing 3 games in Italy that will be helpful to Dan Hurley’s squad. It’s the fact that they were able to practice for 10 days leading up to that trip. That’s where the real benefit comes into play.

-Speaking of local college basketball, Ed Cooley’s PC Friars host a 1-day Elite Camp Saturday which will feature many top high school players, some of which are being recruited by Providence College. One of the biggest names (no pun intended) to keep an eye out for is 7-foot big man Paschal Chukwu from Fairfield, Connecticut who is believed to be favoring Providence College as his school of choice next fall.

-While Wes Welker replacement Danny Amendola has been as advertised so far, keep an eye on rookie WR Aaron Dobson who was the team’s second round pick out of Marshall. Dobson has looked very good in camp thus far and could find himself with a very large role on the Patriots offense, if not in the starting line-up. Dobson (6’-3”) is a big target that Brady isn’t afraid to throw down-field “jump balls” to like he did with Randy Moss a few years ago.

Could Aaron Dobson make a big impact for the Patriots in his rookie season?

-Okay, Tiger. Here’s another chance to win your 15th major championship. Let’s see what you’ve got!

-Yes, many of us will be very disappointed if the Red Sox somehow don’t make it to the postseason this year. None-the-less, you have to be very happy with the way this team has played so far this season. It has been a breath of fresh air compared to the stench of the 2012 season.

-Another day and another controversy surrounding Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel. Now the Aggies signal-caller is apparently being accused of signing autographs for money. The season can’t come soon enough for last year’s Heisman Trophy winner.

-With two months to go in the season, the Boston Red Sox have already surpassed their win total from the 2012 season (69) with last night's win in Houston.
