VIDEO: President Kennedy’s Visit to Rhode Island, 2 Months Before His Assassination

On the 58th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination, a video from the JFK Library shows Kennedy and his family vacationing in Newport -- just two months before he was killed.

According to the Library, Kennedy was in Newport from September 12-15, 1963.

Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963, by Lee Harvey Oswald.

The video shows Kennedy arriving at Quonset Naval Air Station in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. 

According to the JFK Library, included in the video is footage of President Kennedy, First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, Caroline Kennedy, John F. Kennedy, Jr., journalist Ben (Benjamin C.) Bradlee, his wife Antoinette Bradlee, Senator Claiborne Pell of Rhode Island, his wife Nuala Pell, John Ryan, Mrs. Ryan, and Hugh Ryan, Jr., and others who are unidentified.

The President and guests cruise aboard the "Honey Fitz" and golf.

The President, his family, and guests engage in activities at Hammersmith Farm -- and Bailey's Beach.
