Cranston Mayor Allan Fung, on GoLocal LIVE on Wednesday.

Accusing Governor Gina Raimondo of stabbing Pawtucket Mayor Don Grebien in the back (over the botched effort - so far - to move the PawSox to the Apex site), to blaming her "failed leadership and weak management" for the state's budget deficit, former gubernatorial opponent Cranston Mayor Allan Fung took Raimondo to task, on GoLocal LIVE on Wednesday.

"How do you have at least a $90M revenue shortfall? Most likely you overestimated on your budget, and on top of that, let's not forget the overspending by more than $30 million -  so that total deficit is closer to $135 million," said Fung.

"But here's [what] I call really failed and weak leadership from the Governor. Unless we get a new Governor in place that's willing to tackle and implement strong financial policies, we're going to be in trouble again, year after year, " said Fung, accusing Raimondo of not "rolling up her sleeves, like we've done in Cranston."

Fung also took Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza to task, over the dispute of the change of a Roger Williams Park road (in Providenc) to one-way, affecting residents in adjoining Cranston.

"I haven't even heard from Elorza," said Fung. "It's the worst treatment I've ever had from any other colleague."
