Brown University Grad Benjamin Tapped to Become NY’s Next Lt. Governor

Brown University graduate Brian Benjamin looks to be New York’s next Lt. Governor.
Governor Kathy Hochul — who had previously served as NY Lt. Governor before assuming the Governorship after Andrew Cuomo resigned — has reportedly chosen Benjamin, a Democratic state senator from Harlem, to be her lieutenant governor, according to the NY Times.
Benjamin, who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in public policy from Brown and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, served as the Senior Assistant Majority Leader in the New York Senate.

Benjamin lost in the Democratic primary to New York City Councilman Brad Lander.
