Aidan R. Dorgan of North Providence Dies at 23

Aidan R. Dorgan, 23, of North Providence, passed away unexpectedly with his mother on Monday, February 16th.
Born in South Carolina, he was the eldest son of the late Rhonda Dorgan. Aidan was an accomplished high school athlete in hockey, lacrosse, and football.

He graduated from Merrimack College in 2025 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was employed by General Dynamics at Electric Boat, in Groton, CT, while pursuing his master’s degree at Merrimack College.
Aidan had a bright mind and was always amusing his family and friends with his knowledge of random facts. Aidan enjoyed music, specifically the guitar and drums and was a passionate country music fan. A thrill-seeker, he was always up for a new adventure, and especially enjoyed driving his beloved Mustang. The eldest of 7 cousins, he was also the youngest at heart and would often invent silly games to play with the younger ones. He was well known for his boisterous, fun-loving personality and booming voice.
Aidan was engaged to be married to his girlfriend of 5 years, Starr, with whom he shared a special bond built on laughter, loyalty and patience. He was also a true friend to many. He had a way of making people feel welcome, understood, and valued. The memories shared with him, from everyday moments to unforgettable adventures, will continue to bring comfort and smiles to those who knew him.
Aidan will always be remembered for the deep love he carried in his heart for the people closest to him. Loyal to those he loved, he protected his family to the end.
He is survived by a sister, Ava Dorgan and a brother, Colin Dorgan, both of North Providence; A half-sister Amanda Wallace-Hubbard of East Windsor CT; his maternal grandmother, Linda (Dusablon) Dorgan of Uxbridge, MA; an aunt, Jill Le and her husband Quang of Uxbridge, MA; and four cousins, Hannah, Charlie, Helena, and Corinne; and his fiancee Starr Sroka.
Visiting hours will be at the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, on Sunday, March 15th, from 1:00 pm -5:00 pm. The Dorgan family will remain until everyone who comes to pay their respects, has an opportunity to do so. The funeral service and burial will be PRIVATE.
