Shyanne Boisvert was arrested for pushing a police officer during an incident on New Year’s Day 2021 in which approximately 30 motorcycles and ATV riders drove "recklessly with complete disregard for the motoring public,” according to Cranson police.

In August 2021, Boisvert was riding in a group of bikers in Providence — arrested for pulling a woman out of her vehicle and beating her in front of a child.

To date, she has served 60 days in prison.

Now she’s been arrested again, GoLocal has learned.

All this is in the backdrop of last week's announcement by Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza who pledged to crack down on illegal ATV and off-road vehicles.

GoLocal took a look at the series of high-profile arrests  — and their outcome.

For Boisvert, she has over the years flooded social media with videos of her riding. This video secured by GoLocal shows her riding late at night doing tricks on Providence's Blackstone Boulevard.

Sentence for Assault

Boisvert was arrested for assault related to her involvement in an illegal, organized, and reckless ATV and motorbike ride through Cranston on New Year’s Day in 2021.

As GoLocal reported, as Cranston police attempted to arrest Boisvert for Reckless Driving/Eluding Police, Simple Assault, Resisting Legal or Illegal Arrest, and Disorderly Conduct on January 1, 2021, another off-road motorcycle rider used his helmet to smash a police cruiser window.

Court records show Boisvert pled nolo contendere to reckless driving and simple assault charges — and was given a criminal sentence of one-year probation and community service.

The court records reflect that in Judge Brian Goldman’s sentencing for the Cranston incident, that Boisvert would suffer "no loss of license or forfeiture of her motorcycle."

Less than six months later,  as GoLocal reported on August 5, 2021, “Providence Police Announce First Arrest in Beating of Woman by ATV Gang” — with the arrest being Boisvert.

Boisvert was then held without bail for the incident described as follows.

This video above posted to her social media features her and a gang of other riders doing tricks one evening.

"According to the police report obtained by GoLocal, the woman who first spoke with police said her friend was driving the car she was in — along with her young child and dog — when they approached the traffic light at the intersection of Smith and Orms Streets, behind what she said were 'approximately ten ATVs and dirt bikes.'

The woman told police that the group of riders disregarded two full cycles of traffic light changes, prohibiting her friend from driving — who then beeped her horn.

The woman told police that after finally driving outbound on Orms Street, her friend who was driving the vehicle was surrounded and trapped by a group of ATV and dirt bike riders.

According to what the woman told police, multiple bikes and ATV drivers exited their vehicles, opened the car's driver side door, and began to assault the female driver. The woman said her friend was dragged from the car and beaten on the roadway.

The driver, upon speaking with police, told officers she was punched and kicked, and had pain to her knees, and head. The subjects fled outbound on Valley Street."

According to court documents, Judge Joseph Ippolito ordered Boisvert to a criminal sentence of 60 days. Department of Corrections records secured by GoLocal show she served from August 5, 2021 to October 1, 2021.

The actual sentence ordered was 10 months suspended and 10 months probation.

Attempts to reach Boisvert's attorney -- Diana Degroof who had been with RI Legal Services at the time -- were unsuccessful.

Latest “Violator” Status

On March 21, 2022, Boisvert was presented as a violator due to her most recent arrest by Pawtucket Police for forgery of registration plates.

Court records show that she pled nolo on March 21, 2022 and was given a suspended one-year sentence with one-year probation.
