When police arrived at the scene, they said they encountered several individuals standing outside their vehicle that are visibly shaken up and crying. A woman told police that her friend had been assaulted by a group of subjects on ATVs and dirt bikes.

According to the woman who first spoke with police, her friend was driving the car she was in — along with her young child and dog — when they approached the traffic light at the intersection of Smith and Orms Streets, behind what she said were “approximately ten ATVs and dirt bikes.”

The woman told police that the group of riders disregarded two full cycles of traffic light changes, prohibiting her friend from driving — who then beeped her horn.

The woman told police that after finally driving outbound on Orms Street, her friend who was driving the vehicle was surrounded and trapped by a group of ATV and dirt bike riders.

According to what the woman told police, multiple bike and ATV drivers exited their vehicles, opened the car's driver side door, and began to assault the female driver. The woman said her friend was dragged from the car and beaten on the roadway.

The driver, upon speaking with police, told officers she was punched and kicked, and had pain to her knees, and head. The subjects fled outbound on Valley Street.

The victims stated that several of the assailants were riding “blue” dirt bikes.
