Woman Charged for Antisemitic Note Found at Brown-RISD Hillel

Providence Police have arrested and charged a woman for an antisemitic note that was discovered last week at the Brown-RISD Hillel.
On Wednesday, Tanyalee Lugo was arraigned on disorderly conduct charges.
Providence police had issued an arrest warrant after the note was found on the premises which stated, “I would never give the rich stuck up entitled Jews any money. F—k you all. Hail Hitler. Gas the f—king Jews and hope you die.”

This past April, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) reported that antisemitic incidents had jumped 54% in RI in 2021.

GoLocalProv broke the story and first reported the following:
At approximately 6:30 PM [on Sunday], Providence Police received a call from the Brown Public Safety Department that the anti-semitic note was discovered at the Hillel on Brown Street.
Police met with staff at the Jewish Center, who said the on-duty security officer discovered the note.
