Providence Police Investigating Antisemitic Note Left at Brown-RISD Hillel

Providence police are investigating an antisemitic note left at the Brown-RISD Hillel on Sunday.
According to police, it read, “I would never give the rich stuck up entitled Jews any money. F—k you all. Hail Hitler. Gas the f—king Jews and hope you die.”
This past April, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) reported that antisemitic incidents had jumped 54% in RI in 2021.

About Incident
At approximately 6:30 PM, Providence Police received a call from the Brown Public Safety Department that the anti-semitic note was discovered at the Hillel on Brown Street.
Police met with staff at the Jewish Center, who said the on-duty security officer discovered the note.
The Hillel security officer told police she noticed that donation holders on the front desk were out of place, and when she went to straighten them, she saw the message scrawled on a donation card.
The note was seized an placed in police property.
Detectives are currently investigating.
