Two Men Charged in Paris Bistro Shooting

Providence Police Department announced they have charged two men in connection with a shooting and violent assault that occurred on June 7, 2026, near Paris Lounge at 375 Smith Street.
The Club is owned by Cranston City Councilor and state employee Andy Andujar.
The shooting took place a week ago Sunday. The Board of Licenses closed the club for a total of ten days.

Detectives determined that the incident stemmed from an ongoing personal dispute between individuals known to one another.
The incident began in the patio section, which had no license to operate.
As a result of the investigation, Schmitt A. Prado, 31, of Providence, has been charged with:
- Assault with a Deadly Weapon (firearm)
- Felony Assault with Conspiracy
- Possession of a Pistol Without a License
- Firing a Weapon in a Compact Area
Investigators determined that Prado participated in the assault and allegedly discharged a firearm during the altercation.
Freile Perez Fajardo, 27, of Providence, has been charged with:
- Felony Assault with Conspiracy
According to investigators, Fajardo allegedly initiated the physical assault on the victim prior to the shooting.
The victim was shot twice on Smith Street. He was treated at Rhode Island Hospital.
The investigation remains active, and additional charges are possible.
