Sunday was a bloody day across the Middle East as the war between the United States and Israel against Iran expanded and became more deadly.
The U.S. government announced that three American troops were killed and five other military personnel were seriously injured.

President Trump gave remarks about the war just after 4:00 PM.
Israeli Defense Forces claim that they have dropped over 2,000 bombs on Iran in 30 hours, and achieved air supremacy on the first day.
In Israel, in the Beit Shemesh strike, an Iranian missile attack on a synagogue caused nine deaths, with at least 28 others wounded.
More than 200 have died in Iran, reports Al Jazeera.
Iran has launched retaliatory strikes against several countries hosting U.S. military bases or perceived as allies. As of March 1, 2026, the following countries have been targeted:
- Israel: Reports indicate multiple missile and drone strikes, including a deadly missile impact in Beit Shemesh that killed at least nine people.
- United Arab Emirates (UAE): Strikes have targeted Abu Dhabi and Dubai, including the Fairmont The Palm hotel and Zayed International Airport. At least three people have been killed in the UAE.
- Bahrain: The headquarters of the U.S. Fifth Fleet in Manama was hit by an Iranian drone, causing a major fire.
- Kuwait: The Ali al-Salem Air Base, which hosts U.S. forces, was targeted. Kuwait's health ministry reported one death and 32 injuries.
- Qatar: Missiles and drones targeted Al Udeid Air Base, the largest U.S. base in the region. Qatar reported several interceptions over its capital, Doha.
- Jordan & Saudi Arabia: Both nations reported intercepting Iranian drones and missiles over their territories.
- Iraq & Oman: Limited reports indicate strikes or activities near military assets or vessels, including an oil tanker reportedly struck off the coast of Oman.
