Pop star — and part-time Watch Hill, Rhode Island resident Taylor Swift — released a surprise new album this week.

Perhaps the biggest surprise? Taylor features her home in Westerly in the song, “The Last Great American Dynasty.”

The video has amassed nearly one million views in less than 24 hours.

“Most of the things I had planned this summer didn’t end up happening, but there is something I hadn’t planned on that DID happen. And that thing is my 8th studio album, folklore. Surprise,” Taylor posted on Instagram.

The Rhode Island-themed song is about Rebekah Harkness who had married into the Standard Oil fortune in 1947.

The lyrics?

Bill was the heir to the Standard Oil name and money

And the town said, “How did a middle-class divorcée do it?”

The wedding was charming, if a little gauche

There’s only so far new money goes

They picked out a home and called it “Holiday House”

Their parties were tasteful, if a little loud.

The doctor had told him to settle down….and they said, there goes the last American Dynasty.

Holiday House? The name of Swift’s mansion.

Swift bought the property for $17 million -- in cash -- in 2013, and has regularly hosted big parties, documented on social media, for celebrity friends.
