Message from Chair

In a letter to the St. Andrew’s community, Anton P. Giedt, President of the Board of Trustees, wrote:

As previously announced, David Tinagero is currently on leave as Head of School for personal reasons. The School and the Board of Trustees respect that leave and the privacy that it encompasses. The date of his return to St Andrew’s remains unknown.”

During the remainder of Mr. Tinagero’s leave of absence, Stephanie Morin will act as Interim Head of School and will lead the current administrative team, faculty, and staff. Ms. Morin has been a lead administrator at St. Andrew’s for twelve years and has served as Assistant Head of School for the past eight years. The Board of Trustees has full faith in her leadership. Overall the school is guided by a highly seasoned leadership team that fully embraces the overarching school mission to empower every student to discover their unique value and embrace their full potential. This leadership team is extremely talented, and will continue to lead the school with care in the weeks and months to come.

For additional support to Ms. Morin and the leadership team, Alfred Verrecchia, a current Trustee on the St. Andrew’s School Board of Trustees, will advise on school functions and will provide operational and managerial guidance as needed. Mr. Verrecchia has more than 40 years of experience in the private sector as a former Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, has served on many non-profit boards in the greater Rhode Island region, and is conversant with the mission and operations of the St. Andrew’s School. This structure will provide additional stability and strength to St. Andrew’s continued success in educating students and fulfilling the mission of our school.

Thank you for your continued understanding, your partnership, and your commitment to St. Andrew’s School.
