Just hours after GoLocal first unveiled that a student at St. Andrew’s School had been charged with sexual assault and simple assault, the school notified families.

The $75,000 a year boarding school in Barrington had waited more than a month after it learned of the incident to notify the St. Andrew’s School community.

GoLocal was also the first to report that the head of school is on leave.

In a separate message to faculty and staff, the head of school, David Tinagero, announced that he was taking a leave.

He wrote, “I want to let you know that I will be taking a leave of absence for family reasons and will be away from campus for a period of time.”
