RI E911 Supervisor Arrested for Fraudulently Obtaining Money from State

Steven Castaldi, a supervisor at RI E911, was arrested on Friday for fraudulently obtaining over $1,500 from the State of Rhode Island.
Castaldi is alleged by the Rhode Island State Police to have altered RI E911 work time logs over a one (1) year period and collected compensation for hours he had not legitimately worked. On ten (10) separate occasions,
According to the State Police, Castaldi recorded work hours for days where he was not physically present at work.

Members of the State Police Detective Bureau, at the request of the Director of Rhode Island E911, conducted an investigation into the fraudulent obtaining of additional compensation to a twenty-one year veteran of the agency.
The investigation originated from an analysis of data through the RI E911 Director’s Office.
