About Incident
Shortly after 9 PM on Monday, the officer parked in a vacant lot at 188 Princeton Avenue — next to Gilbert Stuart Middle School — said she heard a loud noise as though something had struck her vehicle.
The officer said she then observed the vehicle’s back windshield to be shattered.
According to the office, a BB projectile was found embedded in the glass.
Multiple units were called to the scene and police searched the property across from the officer’s location on Daboll Street.
Police said they made their way into a second-floor unit where a door had been left open, but said they did not locate anything in the vacant apartment.
The incident is currently under investigation.
