Police Make Gun Arrest Outside Prov Strip Club, Court Earlier Ordered Suspect to Surrender Firearms

Providence police made a gun arrest outside of a Providence strip club over the weekend.

Police say the individual arrested is known to authorities with multiple prior offenses.

About Incident

Shortly after 1 AM Saturday, police were patrolling the area of Allens Avenue for illegal activity.

Police said they were outside Silhouettes Gentleman’s Club at 245 Allens Avenue when they saw three men leaving the club towards a parked vehicle, including Eddie Lee, age 24. 

According to police, Lee was known to have past firearms charges. 

Police say that Lee, upon observing the officers, attempted to walk away, before he was detained.

Lee had been previously ordered to surrender firearms following a domestic incident.

Upon looking into the vehicle, police said they saw a gun on the floor behind the driver's seat, which was seized and found to be loaded. 

Lee said the gun was his and was taken to Central Station. He is facing charges including possessing a firearm without a license. 


Latest for Suspect 

Court records show Lee has a record of arrests, including domestic violence charges in 2019 in which he was ordered to surrender his firearms and given a no-contact order. He entered a nolo plea in that case. 

In 2020, Lee then had a felony domestic violence charge involving a gun at a house, where bond surety was set at $2,000 and he was out on a $200.

He was ultimately given a one-year probation by Judge Richard Raspallo.
