Friday, April 01, 2022
The United Way’s signature “401Gives” day of fundraising for Rhode Island nonprofits has raised over $1.5 toward its multi-million dollar fundraising goal as of noon on Friday.
Speaking with GoLocal Friday morning, United Way of Rhode Island CEO Cortney Nicolato talked about what the day means to nonprofits in the state — and how she believes that Rhode Islanders will step up to meet the fundraising goal.
“I love this day. It’s a day of joy, of giving, and a deep appreciation for the nonprofit sector,” said Nicolato. “The momentum is there, and I believe we’ll reach that $4 million — $4.01 million — goal.”
