Gunshot Reported Inside Providence Nightclub, Police Investigating

Providence police are investigating a report of shots being fired inside a club in Providence on Monday night.
In October, multiple people were injured in a shooting inside another Providence nightclub — after 24-year-old Danny Zarius was shot and killed outside that establishment in August.

A club employee told police he had heard what he believed was a gunshot coming from the men’s restroom, and saw a man leave the club quickly.
According to police, upon a sweep of the club and investigation, they found at least one shell casing in the bathroom.
Police are currently reviewing club security tapes.
Gun Violence in City
On Sunday, a man told police he had a weapon pointed at him -- and his family -- as he left Providence Place Mall Sunday night.
Providence police made multiple gun-related arrests over the weekend.
As GoLocal reported earlier in November, the City of Providence continues to see suspects arrested and charged with gun crimes, only to be released and arrested on new and even more serious gun charges.
