Man Shot in Providence - Police Investigating

Providence Police are investigating a report of a man being shot in the city Saturday morning.

About Incident 

Shortly after 4:30 AM on Saturday, police responded to the 200 block of Hartford Avenue for a report of a person shot.

Police met with the victim — a man in his 30s — who was bleeding from a gunshot wound to his leg. 

The victim told police that someone had tried to rob him — and that he could not remember what the person was wearing or what direction they went in afterward. 

Detectives are currently investigating.
