Man Shot and Killed at Providence Auto Repair Shop, Second Homicide in One Week

Providence Police are investigating the city’s second homicide in one week.

On Friday afternoon, police responded to reports of an exchange of gunfire at 405 Harris Avenue shortly before 2 PM.

A 31 year-one-old man was killed, and the shooter fled, according to police, who are still investigating.

There is no additional information being released at this time.

Providence Police on Friday reported that two men were shot in the city on Thursday night. 

Earlier this week, a drive-by shooting occurred at the location of the city's fourth homicide of the year the day before.

Friday's homicide now marks the city's fifth of the year.
